With the Premier League season only days away, premierleague.com runs the rule over the 20 clubs competing in the 2016/17 campaign.
Burnley
Having won promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt, Burnley will be hoping to avoid instant relegation from the competition for the first time in 2016/17.
Highest finishing position
The Clarets have competed in the Premier League on two occasions - in 2009/10 and 2014/15 - finishing in 18th place the first time round before ending up in 19th position most recently.
Signings
Charlton Athletic duo Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope have been the two senior recruits to arrive at Turf Moor this summer following the acquisition of young Manchester United defender Jimmy Dunne.
Having also lost the experience of Joey Barton (free to Rangers), Matt Gilks (free to Rangers), Matt Taylor (released) and Michael Duff (retired), manager Sean Dyche could dip back into the market before the end of August.
Expected formation
Dyche stuck with his double-strike pairing 4-4-2 formation last season and it did the job as Burnley won the Championship title, dropping only 14 points in the second half of the campaign as the club went unbeaten from 26 December onwards.
Managerial history
Dyche has been in charge since 2012/13, and he masterminded the club's promotion from the Championship with a second-place finish the following season. The 2016/17 campaign will be his second in the Premier League with Burnley.
Owen Coyle took charge of the first half of Burnley's 2009/10 season, famously overseeing a 1-0 defeat of champions Manchester United in their first top-flight home match for 33 years. Brian Laws was appointed manager after Coyle left for Bolton Wanderers in January 2010.

Last season
Burnley won the Championship title by five points ahead of fellow-promoted club Middlesbrough. They lost only five of 46 league matches all season, enjoying a run of 23 matches unbeaten.
Their success was largely based on grinding out results. Of their 26 wins last season, 15 of them were by a margin of one goal.
Andre Gray was voted the division's player of the year after a fine campaign that saw him top the scoring charts with 25 goals as well as weighing in with nine assists.
Pre-season form
Burnley are unbeaten in five outings this summer, winning four. Their last match, a 3-1 victory over Rangers at Ibrox, saw Gray net a hat-trick to take his pre-season tally to eight goals.
They host Real Sociedad at Turf Moor on 5 August, which is likely to provide their toughest test to date. Tickets can be purchased here.
Significant injuries
Ashley Barnes suffered a hamstring strain last month, which left Dyche unable to put a date on the striker's return, but it is otherwise a relatively clean bill of health for the Clarets.
Manager quote
"It's great to back in the Premier League and we’re all relishing the challenge ahead," said Dyche. "It's a difficult start but it is nice for the fans for the first game to be at home (against Swansea City).
"Everyone knows the demands of the Premier League but this is where we all wanted to be so we're looking forward to all the games."
