Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed a place in the Division 2 end-of-season play-offs with a 3-1 home victory over Norwich City at New Bucks Head.

Strikes either side of half-time by Daniel Armstrong and Donovan Wilson (pictured above) gave the hosts a two-goal cushion that was reduced by Diallang Jaiyesimi.

The contest was settled by Wilson’s second goal of the evening four minutes from time.

Wolves move up to second place, a point above Newcastle United, and they will see out the regular season with trips to Middlesbrough and Fulham on 17 and 21 April.

Norwich remain a point behind Stoke City at the foot of the table and play their final match of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion at Carrow Road on 24 April.
