Jurgen Klopp says Mohamed Salah has returned in great shape to carry his record-breaking form into 2018/19.
The Liverpool winger is back in pre-season following his 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign with Egypt and showing no signs of the shoulder injury he suffered in the UEFA Champions League final.
"He has fully recovered," manager Klopp told the club's official website.
"We were constantly in contact [during the World Cup] and he was fine. Shoulder-wise, he had no problems."
Salah set an all-time record for most goals scored in a 38-match Premier League campaign last term, netting 32 times.
Raring to go
Despite a shorter pre-season this year, Klopp feels his star player can still reach close to peak fitness for Liverpool's opening match at home to West Ham United.
"It was nice to see him for the first time, the same for Sadio Mane," he said. "They had an intense year behind [them] but they are really looking forward to the season already.
"They look very fit. Both have fantastic values so they did the work they had to do, so now they can start quicker than the rest of the team from another basis."
"That’s good for us but the season starts on August 12, not this week, so good.”
