Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a new contract until 2028.
The 51-year-old, who guided Forest to seventh place last season, their highest league finish in 30 years and qualification for UEFA European competition for the first time since 1995/96, spoke to the official club website after agreeing a new deal.
“I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic football club," Nuno said.
“Since we arrived at Forest, we have worked extremely hard to create a special bond between the players, the fans and everyone at the Club, which helped us achieve great things last season.
“I would like to thank our owner, Mr. Marinakis, for his constant support and backing. It is important to me to share a strong relationship with our ownership and we have thoroughly enjoyed working together ever since I arrived at Forest.
“Now is the time to work harder than ever as we strive for more special memories together.”
Nuno was appointed as Forest head coach in December 2023 with the club sat in 17th place, five points above the relegation zone.
The Portuguese boss guided Forest to safety in 2023/24 before enjoying a hugely successful campaign last season, including being the only side to win at champions Liverpool, while also claiming three Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month awards, more than any other manager in 2024/25.
Forest begin the new campaign with a home match against Brentford on Saturday 16 August before the first leg of their UEFA Conference League playoff five days later, with the second leg taking place on Thursday 28 August.
