With five goals in pre-season, Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi is already hinting at big Fantasy Premier League potential.
He is one of five young players backed by The Scout for a breakout season.
Ademola Lookman (Everton) £5.5m
The 19-year-old midfielder will look to build on his impressive displays in England's FIFA Under-20 World Cup win.
In three starts and eight appearances last season he averaged a shot every 18.1 minutes. This was more frequent than any team-mate, including 25-goal Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m).
Sofiane Boufal (Southampton) £6.0m
A single goal and assist were modest returns from 12 starts and 24 appearances in the midfielder's debut season.
However, the 23-year-old will start afresh under new manager Mauricio Pellegrino and, having dropped in price, he could be a bargain differential.
Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City) £5.0m
The Egyptian winger earned eight starts last season and 17 appearances in total.
The departure of Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) hands the 20-year-old the stage to showcase his talent and add to last term’s two assists.
Harry Winks (Tottenham Hotspur) £5.0m
Midfielder Winks made 21 appearances and three starts last season and scored in pre-season against Roma this week.
The 21-year-old averaged a chance created every 59.9 minutes in 2016/17. In comparision, Dele Alli (£9.5m), who produced 11 assists, made a key pass every 58.5 minutes.
Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea) £8.5m
The powerful striker made 20 appearances but earned only one start in his first season with the Blues.
With five goals and an assist, the 23-year-old was involved in 54.5% of Chelsea’s goals scored when on the pitch. He also fired a shot every 14.1 minutes; more frequently than any other FPL forward.
