As the Premier League marches on to matchweek 27, the scrum at the bottom of the table is grabbing hold of more teams, and at the top, the gap between first and second place is closing quickly.

Liverpool’s big result against Leeds United on Wednesday tightened the gap between them and leaders Manchester City to only three points ahead of the champions' match at Everton on Saturday.

While Liverpool will be battling Chelsea for the Carabao Cup trophy at Wembley, City will be traveling to an always boisterous Goodison Park. The Cityzens dropped all three points against Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League match, while Everton have been in erratic form recently.

Frank Lampard's side have alternated between losing and winning in their last five matches in all competitions, but the Toffees are always sure to be a tough test for any team on their home ground.

As Liverpool continue to keep the pressure on at the top, City will be desperate to defeat the Reds' local rivals and keep Jurgan Klopp’s men at arm's length for the time being.

At the other end of the table, only six points separate Brentford in 14th and 18th-placed Watford as seven teams currently sweat bullets in the relegation battle at the bottom.

One of these teams, Leeds, are currently on a tough run of form after finishing an impressive ninth during their first season back in the Premier league last year.

Leeds go into their match against Spurs without a win in five and sitting only three points above the relegation zone. A victory on Saturday could massively ease the concerns of their supporters.

Sunday’s only Premier League match is a doozy between Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United, two upstart teams duking it out for a European place.

Wolves have quietly had a very good season so far but will be determined to bounce straight back this weekend following their second loss to Arsenal on Thursday.

They are currently sitting in seventh place with the potential to be move up to sixth come Sunday.

West Ham are in a bit of a funk. After starting the season hot, they’ve faltered recently with two disappointing draws in a row. A win for either club could set them up to challenge for a top-four spot in the table while a loss could stunt that momentum they’ve worked so hard to create.

Get your coffee started early and catch whether Wolves or West Ham take home all three points on USA Network at 9:00am ET on Sunday.
