The Scout highlights the opportunities available for managers who have the Assistant Manager chip active in Gameweek 37 of Fantasy Premier League.

It’s important to note that activating the Assistant Manager chip in Gameweek 37 would mean you CANNOT use another chip this season.

Who is the best Assistant Manager for Gameweek 37?

If you are one of the 197,000 Fantasy managers who activated their Assistant Manager chip in Gameweek 35, there is now just one Gameweek remaining to earn more points.

On top of that, more than 232,000 managers activated the chip either in Gameweek 36 or so far ahead of Gameweek 37. So, who is the best pick for Gameweek 36 fixtures?

There are two tactics to consider with the Assistant Manager chip.

You can pick a club from the top of the table with a favourable fixture - a tactic which is more reliable but has a lower ceiling for points.

Alternatively, you can target managers from clubs who can earn table bonus - a riskier approach which has a greater ceiling.

You can see the six clubs (in bold below) whose manager can earn table bonus against a team who are ranked at least five places higher in the Premier League table at the start of the Gameweek.

Gameweek 37 fixtures

Aston Villa v Spurs
Chelsea v Man Utd
Everton v Southampton
West Ham v Nottingham Forest
Brentford v Fulham
Leicester v Ipswich
Arsenal v Newcastle
Brighton
v Liverpool
Crystal Palace v Wolves
Man City v Bournemouth

Guardiola the most reliable pick?

Manchester City's dramatic recent upturn in form has seen Pep Guardiola (£1.5m) pick up 63 points across his last eight matches, winning five and delivering 14 goals and five clean sheets.

Over the last eight Gameweeks, Man City's underlying defensive data is impressive.

City have the third-best Expected Goals Against (xGA) total, with 8.01, while only three teams can better their tally of 20 big chances conceded. No team have kept more clean sheets in that period.

Opponents Bournemouth have won just two of their last eleven matches.

Moyes versus Southampton?

David Moyes (£0.5m) provides Fantasy managers with another kind fixture but at a fraction of the price compared to Guardiola.

Everton host Southampton in Gameweek 37 in what is the final Premier League game at Goodison Park.

Saints have won just once since Gameweek 11 and have lost four of their last five away matches.

Over the last six Gameweeks, their underlying data is poor, ranking bottom for xG (3.25) and third-worst for xGA (11.69).

Furthermore, Everton have conceded the fewest big chances of any team in that same time period with seven. Moyes looks well placed to pick up six points for a win and two points for a clean sheet.

Potter the best for table bonus?

As mentioned previously, six managers can collect table bonus in Gameweek 37.

The standout option is Graham Potter (£0.5m), with West Ham hosting an out-of-form Nottingham Forest side. Forest have won just one of their last six matches.

In that time, only the three relegated teams have conceded more xG than Nuno Espirito Santo's (£1.1m) side. Four different managers have picked up table-bonus points against Forest across the last five Gameweeks.

Jarrod Bowen's (£7.7m) impressive recent form, five attacking returns in four matches, have boosted the Hammers' form of late.

Fabian Hurzeler (£1.1m) is also worthy of a mention ahead of Brighton's fixture against Liverpool.

The Reds have failed to win since being confirmed as Premier League champions, conceding five goals across their last two matches. No team have a worse xGA over the last two Gameweeks.

Brighton, on the other hand, are fully motivated as they chase eighth place and a potential European place. The Seagulls have are unbeaten in three matches, scoring six goals in that time.

Hurzeler is no stranger to picking up table bonus, having recorded a victory against Chelsea (21 points) in Gameweek 25 and picking up nine points versus Newcastle in Gameweek 35.

So, who is the best pick for Gameweek 37?

For Fantasy managers looking to play it safe, Guardiola and Moyes both enjoy favourable home fixtures.

However, if you are chasing a mini-league rival and want the potential of table bonus, Potter is the preferred option. A trip to Ipswich in Gameweek 38 is another reason to select the Hammers' boss for Fantasy managers who will also have the chip active on the final day.
