The Scout is selecting four overlooked players who could be set for a breakout Gameweek 24 in Fantasy Premier League ahead of the 18:15 GMT deadline on Tuesday 8 February.

Emiliano Buendia (AVL) £6.2m, 1.2 per cent owned

A home encounter with Leeds United lifts the appeal of Buendia in Gameweek 24 of Fantasy Premier League.

The Aston Villa midfielder has improved his output recently, claiming 17 points in his last three matches thanks to a goal and an assist.

Buendia has been a key figure for Villa since Steven Gerrard arrived as head coach in Gameweek 12.

Indeed, his totals of 17 shots and 12 chances created each put him among their top two players from that point.

Villa’s match against Leeds starts a run of favourable opponents in which Buendia can thrive.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), four of their next five matches score only two.

Dan Burn (NEW) £4.4m, 0.3%

Newcastle United’s new centre-back is expected to be handed an immediate debut at home to Everton

Burn was a big success in his last meeting with the Toffees as recently as Gameweek 21, scoring and earning eight points with former club Brighton & Hove Albion in a 3-2 away win

With the Magpies also signing right-back Kieran Trippier and defensive midfielder Bruno Guimaraes (both £5.0m) last month, the Magpies could deliver back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season, having beaten Leeds 1-0 in their last outing.

Pablo Fornals (WHU) £6.0m, 1.5%

The West Ham United midfielder has been far more productive when playing at home in 2021/22.

Four of Fornals’ five goals this season, and two of his three assists, have come at London Stadium.

The underlying statistics reflect the Spaniard's major all-round influence in those home matches.

Fornals’ 20 key passes and six big chances created were both team-leading totals for the Hammers.

And his 17 shots and 11 shots in the box each placed among their top four players.

Anthony Elanga (MUN) £4.8m, 0.2%

The winger appears to have secured a regular role ahead of Manchester United’s visit to Burnley, starting each of their last three Premier League matches.

Elanga scored in the Red Devils’ last away match, earning seven points in a 3-1 win at Brentford.

At a cost of just £4.8m, he could offer major value over the short-term.

Following their trip to Burnley, Man Utd host both Southampton and Brighton in Double Gameweek 25.
