Time to Talk Day 2021 takes place on Thursday 4 February, with this year's theme being "The Power of Small", in that a small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference.

The Premier League has been encouraging supporters to kick off a conversation on mental health during the pandemic. We want fans to keep connected and speak to others to support their own positive mental wellbeing.

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend features in the Premier League #Staywell Hub, where he discusses how speaking to others about his mental health has helped him.

"The best advice I can give anyone who may be struggling with mental health would definitely be to speak to somebody, anybody, it doesn't have to be a professional," Townsend says. "It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague, anybody, anybody who will listen to you.

"Just to speak to someone, so you can get your problems off your chest and they're not bubbling up inside you and festering making them worse, 10 times worse, that's what I've found from personal experience.

"Speaking has definitely helped me no end."

Fans can get more information on maintaining positive mental health from the Premier League's #StayWell hub, including tips and advice from experts and players, as well as links to NHS resources and Public Health England's "Every Mind Matters" campaign.
