The Scout's panel of experts give their verdict on the Scout Selection ahead of the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 9 deadline of 11:00 GMT on Saturday 21 November.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

With so many Liverpool regulars potentially missing, particularly in defence, I'm not surprised to see Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) in the Scout Selection. I expect this to be a high-scoring match, with the best form of defence likely to be attack for Liverpool.

The defence that's been chosen looks great, although I potentially would have gone for Kurt Zouma (£5.4m) over Reece James (£5.0m).

Utkarsh Dalmia (@zophar666)

Love the Scout Selection this week. All the defenders have a decent bit of attacking threat, and the midfield is absolutely stacked.

I would have probably gone with Timo Werner (£9.4m) over Vardy, but can't argue with the other picks.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Richarlison (£7.8m) has been a massive miss for Everton. Without his pace, they look lethargic and easy to defend against. With the Brazilian back from suspension and James Rodriguez (£7.9m) fully fit, I like the inclusion of Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.8m) against a Fulham side who have looked pretty bad defensively.

They've been particularly susceptible to headed chances as well, which as we know is Calvert-Lewin's forte.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

My bias suggests more Everton players should be in there as I think we'll bounce back from recent results.

I'm not sure about the Patrick Bamford (£6.1m) pick as Arsenal are likely to tighten back up following the Aston Villa debacle.

Ben McNair (@drbenmcnair)

I like the inclusion of Sadio Mane (£12.0m). Yes, Liverpool are ravaged by injury, but they have been one of the best attacks in the league so far this season and they are still able to field a strong side, at least from an attacking perspective.

Neal Thurman (@nealjthurman)

Vardy is sure to be a controversial selection but I'm going to focus my attention on an omission from the same match. Diogo Jota (£6.5m) has been excellent in limited minutes, comes in at just over half the price of Mane and will surely start in place of Salah.

Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)

Hakim Ziyech (£8.2m) looks the real deal and will probably be one of my transfers. I love the Vardy pick - I think he scores a brace.

Holly Shand (@FFCommunity_)

Ziyech is a worthy contender this week. He's likely to be one of my transfers given the form he's shown in his first two Premier League starts. Newcastle United will struggle against Chelsea's potent attack.

Nick (@WGTA_Nick)

Vardy is an interesting pick considering the tough fixture on paper, although Leicester City have excelled on the counter against teams like Manchester City.

I'm not overly convinced by the James Tarkowski (£5.4m) pick given Crystal Palace's attacking threat, which we saw against Leeds United recently. Wilfried Zaha (£7.4m), who is in my team, could easily get a haul at Turf Moor.

Remember the Gameweek 9 deadline is at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 21 November.
