With families looking for activities to keep them occupied during the going coronavirus pandemic, we take a look at some of the educational activities available through Premier League Primary Stars.

Positions and Direction

Using quizzes, fun activities and a virtual treasure hunt, Primary Stars resource uses football to introduce children to the subject of geometry.

In this Position and Direction maths activity, children can take on the role of manager and player as they engage in physical tasks and develop skills in giving and following instructions for movement.

There is also an appearance from Watford mascot Harry the Hornet in a special video in which he helps to explain position and directions as he races through Vicarage Road stadium

The activity helps to make maths enjoyable and engaging for children and takes around 60 minutes to complete.

It can be found with other football-related home learning resources on the Premier League Primary Stars website.
