I never eat breakfast, I don’t like to feel too heavy before a game, so I’ll only have one meal instead of two. I like to eat fish before a game, nothing too heavy. MY JOURNEY There’s a group of four of us that sit at the front, we play Stickman Golf on the way to the games. We just try and chat really about anything other than the game. We’ve done our work in the week, so we are ready. MY PRE-MATCH When I arrive at the stadium I mainly just like to chill, listen to some music and keep my head clear before the match. MY MUSIC I love old-school tunes. A bit of soul or R&B. As the game gets a bit closer the music might get a bit harder, maybe some old-school hip hop. Sometimes I’ll listen to a song my mum liked too, just to remind me of the journey before a game. MY SUPERSTITION I’m not one for superstitions really. People get too bogged down with them, there’s so many of them out there. I’m not one of these who has to put my right boot on first or wrap the tape three times. MY KIT I’ll usually go with short sleeves, I prefer that. I never really wear under armour unless it is really cold. Same with gloves too; if it’s freezing I probably will. Once my toes and fingers go cold then the rest of me does too. MY BOOTS I like to keep them in the steamer right up until the game, so they are nice and hot. I’m quite basic with my boots, I don’t like them too lairy, I do that with my mouth! I have ‘autism’ written on them too, always raising awareness for that. We do a lot of work through my charity with autism. MY POST-MATCH I’ve changed a lot, I just like to go home and chill. I’m not one for really going out anymore. I like to relax and depending on how we’ve played I’ll watch the game back a couple of times and see where I can improve.
