Managers wondering who to opt for as their Fantasy Premier League captain this week should look no further than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), according to the experts.
Salah has taken a while to live up to his FPL price-tag this season but his home record and a Gameweek 10 fixture against Cardiff City makes an irresistible case for his selection, says Holly Shand in the latest FPL Show.
"He looks like he's getting back into form now," says Shand, who is ranked among the top 5,000 FPL managers in the world.
"He had a goal against Huddersfield that he took really well, and a couple of goals in the Champions League, which is really encouraging for managers.
"He's only blanked at home once this season and that was against Manchester City, who have the best defence in the league."
Like Shand, fellow expert David Munday has Salah in his team, and says the Egyptian has to be the first choice for the captain's armband.
"This could be a week where everyone falls over themselves and takes hits to get him in," says Munday.
There are, however, alternatives to Salah and Munday suggests AFC Bournemouth players such as Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson as promising differentials, as they face Fulham in Gameweek 10.
"No-one has conceded this many goals, 25, after nine matches of a Premier League season," says Munday. "Fulham are particularly poor down their right-hand side and Ryan Fraser plays on the left."
