Brighton & Hove Albion secured their first Premier League 2 Division 1 victory in style as they won 5-0 against Manchester City at Checkatrade.com Stadium.

Viktor Gyokeres opened the scoring from the penalty spot and Hayden Roberts (pictured) headed Brighton into a 2-0 lead three minutes before the break.

City, who netted 13 goals in their first three matches of the season, applied more pressure in search of a response, but striker Aaron Connolly scored in the 70th and 82nd minutes to make it 4-0.

A fifth goal came in the 90th minute, when James Tilley forced the ball in.

Brighton are in fourth place on six points and remain unbeaten. City are one point and a place above the Seagulls.
