FPL Wildcard Targets: Goalkeepers

With the second Fantasy Premier League Wildcard available, The Scout reviews the top targets to consider for the chip.

Nick Pope (BUR) £4.8m

Since replacing the injured Tom Heaton (£4.7m), last season’s top-ranked goalkeeper in FPL, in Gameweek 5 Pope has been a revelation.

Nine clean sheets from 18 starts have helped him to produce 19.4 points per million, ranking Pope top across all four positions.

He has made a save every 25.4 minutes, placing him third behind the rate of every 22.5 minutes by Lukasz Fabianski (£4.6m) and that of every 24.8 minutes by Wayne Hennessey (£4.3m).

Pope also offers strong bonus-point potential, earning a point in the BPS every 4.0 minutes, more frequently than any other goalkeeper.

While Heaton remains sidelined, Pope continues to be an option, particularly if partnered with Adrian (£4.3m).
