Ben Folami scored the only goal as Ipswich Town began their Premier League Group E campaign with a 1-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The 18-year-old striker was in the right place to put Ipswich ahead on 47 minutes from a Danny Rowe pass.

The home side had the chance to take the lead but Jordan Hallam had his first-half penalty saved.

Folami almost had a second late on, only to be denied by some excellent goalkeeping.

Sheffield United are away to West Bromwich Albion in their next Group E match on Thursday 2 November and Ipswich host Aston Villa four days later.
