Crystal Palace have completed a season-long loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The 21-year-old is Frank de Boer’s first signing since being confirmed as manager of the Eagles.
"I had the option of coming to Palace and I thought that it would be great for me," Loftus-Cheek told cpfc.co.uk.
“I live not too far away, I was born in Lewisham and Palace is good club so I thought it’s a good chance to play here and be a part of the team."
England Under-21 international Loftus-Cheek made six appearances during Chelsea’s title-winning campaign.
Overall he has made 22 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal.
Loftus-Cheek could make his Crystal Palace debut at home to Huddersfield on 12 August.
