Nathangelo Markelo says he is already loving life at Goodison Park after signing for Everton’s title-winning Premier League 2 team on a three-year contract.
The 18-year-old defender has joined from FC Volendam in his native Netherlands. He is the first summer signing for David Unsworth’s team, who lifted the PL2 Division 1 trophy in front of more than 17,000 fans in May.
“It’s a nice opportunity for me and I love it here already,” Markelo told evertonfc.com. “I hope to get plenty of playing time, develop as a player and then just keep making steps forward towards the first team.”
