Brighton & Hove Albion have announced their first signing for their inaugural Premier League campaign.

Pascal Gross, the Ingolstadt 04 midfielder, has agreed a four-year deal with Albion and will join from 10 June, subject to international clearance, for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old has made close to 200 appearances in the German Bundesliga 1 and 2. Ahead of the Bundesliga’s final fixtures this weekend, no player had created more chances than his 95.

"He offers something different to our existing midfielders, as an attacking midfielder in a more advanced position, operating behind the forward line,” Brighton manager Chris Hughton told seagulls.co.uk. “He will give us a different and new option going into the new season."

The club have also offered new contracts to four players who are out of contract this summer: Steve Sidwell, David Stockdale, Gaetan Bong and Niki Maenpaa.
