Ebou Adams scored a spectacular long-range goal to take Norwich City into the semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Liverpool at Chester.

In the absence of captain Harry Wilson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn ahead of Wednesday's Premier League match with AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool went behind to Adams' strike before the Canaries nearly added a second when Diallang Jaiyesimi's effort hit the woodwork.

Norwich's Benny Ashley-Seal's shot hit the post after the break, before they resisted some late pressure from Liverpool to go through.

Norwich join Swansea City, Reading and Portsmouth in the last four, with the draw taking place on twitter.com/PLYouth at 2pm BST on Tuesday.

Liverpool's next Premier League 2 Division 1 match is away to Southampton at St Mary's Stadium next Monday, while Norwich play Wolverhampton Wanderers in Division 2 at Telford on the same night.
