Ahead of Monday night's FA Cup tie between Sutton United and Arsenal, community teams from both clubs got to experience what the first-team players will tonight at Gander Green Lane.

Boys and girls teams, as well as players with mental health issues, from both clubs played on the artificial grass pitch that will host tonight's fifth-round tie.

"To meet up with Sutton and play on the same pitch and use the same changing rooms as the players will use in the FA Cup has just been a great experience," said Arsenal in the Community coach Dan Openshaw.

The community departments have been working for the last two seasons, organising tournaments and trips to each other's grounds.

"I emailed Arsenal 18 months ago to see if they would be interested in a friendly and to be honest, I didn't think I would hear anything," said Ryan Cheeseman from Sutton United Community.

"When they came down we had a great day and it's so nice that we've made friends."

Sutton United's Craig Eastmond and Roarie Deacon, both former Arsenal players, were also on hand to watch the action last week.
