A midweek rest against Porto in the UEFA Champions League raises the prospects of Riyad Mahrez (£8.3m) for Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League.

The Manchester City winger scored a hat-trick at home against Burnley last weekend and will be fully refreshed for another favourable fixture, with Fulham visiting the Etihad Stadium.

Mahrez has thrived at home this season, scoring four goals and supplying an assist in his three outings.

He has averaged 12.0 points per match (ppm) in those contests, yet is owned by a mere 5.6 per cent of managers.

The Algerian is included in a Scout Selection that lines up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) handed the armband and Bruno Fernandes (£10.9m) named vice-captain.

Sam Johnstone (WBA) £4.5m

The West Bromwich Albion No 1 has been a big success in recent home matches, producing 23 points over his last three at The Hawthorns. Johnstone hosts a Crystal Palace side who have failed to score in three of the last four Gameweeks.

Reece James (CHE) £5.1m

Chelsea’s right-back offers strong all-round potential at home against Leeds United. James has helped the Blues to four clean sheets in the last five Gameweeks and has supplied 32 crosses in that period, more than any other defender in FPL.

Michael Keane (EVE) £5.1m

The Everton centre-back visits Burnley having already scored twice this season from set-pieces. Keane’s aerial threat will trouble a Clarets side who have conceded 15 headed attempts in the last four Gameweeks, the second-most in the Premier League.

Benjamin Mendy (MCI) £5.9m

The Frenchman was another Man City player rested against Porto in midweek. Mendy delivered 14 points in the win over Burnley last weekend, combining a goal and clean sheet with two bonus points.

Riyad Mahrez (MCI) £8.3m

He is the second most-bought player for Gameweek 11, earning over 227,000 transfers in.

Kevin De Bruyne (MCI) £11.7m

The Belgian’s spot-kick duties and all-round potential help him claim the Scout Selection captaincy. De Bruyne’s 11 chances created in the last four Gameweeks are the joint-highest total in FPL, while his 16 shots is the third-highest tally.

Bruno Fernandes (MUN) £10.9m

With his flawless away form for Manchester United, he will pose big problems for West Ham United. Fernandes has returned double-figure hauls in each of his four road trips in 2020/21, averaging 12.5 ppm.

Diogo Jota (LIV) £6.9m

Liverpool’s summer signing entertains his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers having scored in four of the last five Gameweeks. That form has earned Jota over 355,000 new owners, more than any other player ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (EVE) £7.9m

Everton’s frontman is among the most consistent players in Fantasy, blanking only twice in the first 10 Gameweeks. Calvert-Lewin has scored five goals in his five away appearances, averaging 7.2 ppm on the road.

Jamie Vardy (LEI) £10.3m

The Leicester City talisman visits Sheffield United in prolific away form. Seven of Vardy’s eight goals this season, and two of his three assists, have come on the road.

Tammy Abraham (CHE) £7.2m

His midweek rest against Sevilla suggests he is poised to return to Chelsea's starting XI against Leeds, despite the goalscoring exploits of rival Olivier Giroud (£6.7m) in midweek. Abraham has scored or assisted in five of his six Gameweek starts this season.

Remember the Gameweek 11 deadline is at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 5 December.
