Leeds United are seeking a third consecutive victory, while Manchester City are looking to respond after their 5-2 home defeat to Leicester City.

Team news

Jack Harrison, on loan at Leeds from Man City, is unable to face his parent club, with Ezgjan Alioski set to step in as his replacement.

Ruben Dias is in contention to make his Premier League debut, but Ilkay Gundogan is still unavailable after testing positive for COVID-19.

Forward Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined with a muscle injury, and fellow striker Sergio Aguero is another absentee.

Did you know?

Leeds have won three of their last five Premier League matches against Man City (D1 L1), including the last two at Elland Road.

Patrick Bamford can be the first Leeds player to score in a fourth consecutive Premier League match since Mark Viduka in April 2004.

Man City have lost just one of their last 31 PL matches against promoted sides (W25 D5), but that defeat came when they last visited the Championship winners, losing at Norwich City in 2019/20.

This will be the fourth meeting between Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola in all competitions, with the previous three coming in 2011/12 between Guardiola’s Barcelona and Bielsa’s Athletic Bilbao. Guardiola is unbeaten so far (W2 D1).
