Manchester United are aiming to keep in touch with fourth-placed Chelsea, who begin the Matchweek five points ahead of the Red Devils.

Norwich City are bottom of the table and seeking to close the gap to 17th-placed Aston Villa, who are seven points ahead and face champions Manchester City on Sunday.

Team news

Man Utd will assess Harry Maguire (hip) and if he suffers no reaction to training on Friday, is expected to return after missing the Carabao Cup semi-final in midweek.

Jesse Lingard (illness) is unavailable, joining Paul Pogba (ankle) and Scott McTominay (knee) on the sidelines.

Norwich striker Teemu Pukki (hamstring) has been ruled out, but Ralf Fahrmann (groin) is fit again.

Josip Drmic (hamstring) is unavailable while Jamal Lewis and Grant Hanley (both illness) are regarded as "minor doubts" by Daniel Farke.

Did you know?

Man Utd have won eight of their last 10 home league matches against Norwich (D1 L1), though they did lose the last time they faced them at Old Trafford, going down 2-1 in December 2015, meaning the Canaries can win consecutive trips to United for the first time since August 1989.

The Red Devils have lost three of their last five matches against teams starting the day in the relegation zone (W1 D1 L3).

Marcus Rashford has scored or assisted 16 goals this season, his joint-best PL campaign for goal involvements. He got a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win at Norwich in October.

Emiliano Buendia has created 19 goalscoring opportunities for Norwich team-mate Teemu Pukki this season. It is the most a player has provided for another in 2019/20.
