Champions Manchester City aim to keep up their chase of leaders Liverpool against a Wolverhampton Wanderers team who got their first win of the campaign last time out.

Team news

Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out for Man City with a groin injury.

The Belgian, who has eight assists and two goals this season joins John Stones (muscle) and long-term absentees Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane (both knee) on the sidelines.

Wolves reported no new injury concerns following their UEFA Europa League victory at Besiktas on Thursday.

Man City have only failed to score in one of their last 44 Premier League home matches, a goalless draw with Huddersfield Town in May 2018. They have scored 142 goals at the Etihad Stadium in that run, netting five or more on 11 occasions.

Wolves are looking for a first top-flight win away against Man City since December 1979, when they won 3-2. They have drawn one and lost six of their trips since then.

City have won their last 10 PL Sunday matches. Only Chelsea have won more consecutively on that day, with 11 victories between April 2013 and April 2014.

Wolves are seeking to avoid becoming the first team to get a red card in three successive PL away matches since Blackburn Rovers in April 2011.
