West Ham United visit Aston Villa having made their best start to a Premier League season since 2012/13.

But the Villans have a strong home record against their visitors as they seek a second victory since returning to the top flight.

Team news

Dean Smith says Marvelous Nakamba is close to full fitness and pushing line for a Premier League debut, while Henri Lansbury is also in contention.

Smith also confirms Jonathan Kodjia will be sidelined for up to three weeks after fracturing his cheekbone in an innocuous training ground collision, whilst James Chester (hamstring) is 'two-three weeks' away. Trezeguet is suspended after being sent off in Matchweek 4.

Michail Antonio has undergone surgery on a hamstring injury, and is one of only two senior players unavailable to Manuel Pellegrini, along with Winston Reid (knee).

Aston Villa have lost only two of their last 18 home league matches against West Ham (W8 D8).

West Ham are looking to secure back-to-back league victories against Villa for the first time since January 2006, having beaten them 2-0 in their last meeting in February 2016.

The two most-fouled players in the Premier League in 2019/20 are Villa duo John McGinn and Jack Grealish, with 15 and 13 fouls respectively.

Hammers' midfielder Manuel Lanzini has created 14 chances in the Premier League this season, second only to the 16 of Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.
