Manchester City have been crowned Premier League 2 champions by winning the playoff final after defeating Southampton tonight.
Man City, who finished the season on top of the table, lifted the trophy as they completed a sensational season with a 2-0 victory.

Divin Mubama took his tally in the end-of-season playoffs to six after putting his team ahead in front of the home fans at the Joie Stadium.
The 20-year-old, who scored twice in the semi-final win over Manchester United last Friday, profited after good work in the sixth minute from team-mate Charlie Gray.
With six minutes of the first half remaining, City doubled their advantage when Ashton Muir headed in from Max Alleyne’s cross.
Coached by Ben Wilkinson, the son of former England manager Howard Wilkinson, Man City’s young team have impressed throughout the season but had to withstand a spirited second-half Saints response.
Baylee Dipepa and Josh McNamara both had chances to set up a tense finish but they couldn’t find a breach City’s strong defence.
The PL2 format means that the title is decided via a knockout playoff involving the top 16 teams.
City topped the regular-season standings with 47 points from 20 matches, registering 15 wins, two draws and only three defeats as they scored a competition-high 61 goals.
