A third PL victory in four matches for Southampton, in 17th, would boost their hopes of avoiding relegation while Wolves will be looking to complete a double over Saints, having beaten them 2-0 at Molineux in September.

Danny Ings returns for Southampton after missing the Liverpool match due to the terms of his loan agreement. Mario Lemina (thigh) and Michael Obafemi (hamstring) are the only absentees.

Rui Patricio is set to replace John Ruddy in goal for Wolves. Patricio has started all but one PL game this season.

This will be just the second time Southampton will host Wolves in a Premier League match. The only other meeting was in September 2003 when a James Beattie brace from secured a 2-0 win for Saints.

Raul Jimenez has been directly involved in 48 per cent of Wolves' 40 PL goals this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting seven. Only Eden Hazard (49 per cent) has been involved in a higher share of his team’s goals.

Aston Villa (42) and West Ham United (44) are the only teams to have lost more PL matches against promoted sides than Southampton (37). Saints have also lost five of their last six such matches.

Wolves have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 12 PL away matches and are without a win in their last four on the road.
