Southampton moved to the top of Premier League Division 2 with a 2-0 win over Stoke City.
After a goalless first half at Staplewood, Nathan Tella put Saints ahead on 63 minutes and Will Ferry ensured his side claimed three points by scoring 10 minutes from the end.
The victory moves Southampton two points above Manchester United, who return to action at home to Fulham on 11 January.
