Ings "doubtful" for Fulham External Link

Claudio Ranieri will aim to make an instant impact at Craven Cottage in his first match in charge of bottom side Fulham, while visiting Southampton are targeting a first victory in nine Premier League matches.

Team news

Fulham midfielders Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Kevin McDonald have been ruled out.

Left-back Joe Bryan could make the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Southampton striker Danny Ings is a major doubt as he may not be ready in time having limped off against Watford.

Moi Elyounoussi (hamstring) and Mario Lemina (thigh) should be able to feature although Ryan Bertrand is suspended.

Did you know?

Fulham have only lost one of their last 14 home league matches against Southampton, although that defeat came in their last such meeting in February 2014.

The Cottagers may be on a six-match losing run in the Premier League, but they have not lost seven league matches in a row since a run of 11 between December 1961 and February 1962.

Southampton, who beat Crystal Palace when they were last in London, now have the chance to win a second consecutive league fixture in the capital for the first time since 2014/15, when they beat Palace and Queens Park Rangers.

The Saints will be seeking to increase their goal threat, having drawn a blank in six PL matches this season, more than any other team. They will be buoyed by the fact that Fulham are the only side yet to keep a clean sheet.
