Dates revealed for summer transfer window

The 2017/18 season may have finished but there is still much in store this summer that Premier League fans will want to follow.

Here are a few dates to put in your diaries:

17 May

The domestic transfer window opens.

19 May

Chelsea and Manchester United face each other in the FA Cup final (17:15 BST kick-off).

26 May

The Championship play-off (17:00 BST kick-off) at Wembley Stadium will decide which of Aston Villa and Fulham will join Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City in the Premier League.

Liverpool also face Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League, in Kiev (kick-off 19:45 BST).

4 June

Premier League fans will know which of their team's players will be competing in Russia as the final squads for the FIFA 2018 World Cup are confirmed.

7 June

The Premier League Annual General Meeting takes place. This is where the formal changing of the seasons takes place, the promoted clubs are formally entered into the League and the Premier League switches to 2018/19 with the league table reset.

8 June

The window for international transfers opens.

14 June

The 2018/19 Premier League fixtures are released at 09:00 BST.

The FIFA 2018 World Cup will start as Russia take on Saudi Arabia at 16:00 BST.

15 July

The FIFA 2018 World Cup final will kick off at 16:00 BST. Will a Premier League player be lifting the trophy?

19 July

The first slated pre-season friendly involving Premier League clubs takes place as Manchester United face Club America at Phoenix University Stadium, Arizona.

23 July

Burnley find out their UEFA Europa League second qualifying round opponents.

26 July

Burnley's European adventure starts.

5 August

The FA Community Shield takes place at Wembley as PL champions Man City take on FA Cup winners Chelsea.

9 August

The Premier League transfer window closes at 17:00 BST.

11 August

The 2018/19 Premier League campaign begins.
