Rushian Hepburn-Murphy struck twice as Aston Villa forced extra-time with a last-gasp equaliser before beating Middlesbrough 2-1 to reach the Premier League Cup semi-finals.
Boro looked on course for victory at Heritage Park thanks to Ben Liddle's 15th-minute penalty.
But Hepburn-Murphy (pictured) scored in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to take the tie to an additional 30 minutes.
And then, after team-mate Khalid Abdo had rattled the bar, Hepburn-Murphy headed in from close range at the end of the first half of extra-time.
Villa join Leicester City, Sheffield United and Swansea City in the last four.
