While Southampton's Jose Fonte and Cedric Soares tasted UEFA Euro 2016 success with Portugal on Sunday, they were not the only Premier League players to shine at the tournament.
In total 100 Premier League players contracted to the clubs for 2016/17 featured in France, almost double the next highest league, the German Bundesliga with 53.

Of the 108 goals that were scored in the tournament, 28 came from Premier League players, five more than LaLiga. The PL's top scorers were France's Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) and Dimitri Payet (West Ham United), each with three, half the total of the leading scorer, their compatriot, Antoine Griezmann.

The four most creative players came from Premier League clubs. Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey were the joint leaders for the most assists (four), followed by Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne on three.

Payet (24), De Bruyne (23) and Arsenal's Mesut Ozil (18) also created the most chances.
With the tournament finished, the players who featured will now rest ahead of returning to training for the 2016/17 Premier League campaign, which starts on 13 August.
