Arsenal will be without left-back Nacho Monreal (back), striker Alexandre Lacazette (knee) and midfielder Santi Cazorla (calf/heel/shin) who has been out all season.

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho will miss a first Premier League match this season after being ruled out with a hamstring strain.

Despite returning to training this week Raheem Sterling (thigh) is not expected to play in north London after missing the Carabao Cup final win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Fabian Delph is suspended and Benjamin Mendy (knee) is a long-term absentee.

Did you know?

Arsenal have won only two of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Manchester City (D5 L4), but the Citizens have won only one of their 20 PL away trips to the Gunners (D7 L12).

The Gunners are aiming to avoid going 10 PL matches without a clean sheet for the first time since a run of 11 in February 2002.

Manchester City’s points total of 72 from 27 matches is the most ever set by an English top-flight side at this stage of the season (three points for a win). If they win this match they will equal Arsenal's overall points tally from last season.

Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his last five appearances against Arsenal in all competitions. He's never scored in six matches in a row against a single opponent for Man City.

Referee: Andre Marriner
Assistants: Scott Ledger, Ian Hussin
Fourth official: Mike Dean
