West Bromwich Albion do not expect to have James Morrison (calf) and Nacer Chadli (thigh) available for another four to five weeks.

Alan Pardew says the rest of his players are all fit, with Jonny Evans set to play.

Brighton & Hove Albion are without loanee Izzy Brown, who has returned to parent club Chelsea due to a torn anterior cruciate knee ligament.

Steve Sidwell has sustained an ankle injury in addition to a back problem and is not expected to be available within the next few months.

Did you know?

West Bromwich Albion have faced Brighton & Hove Albion in more home matches without defeat than they have any other side in their Football League history (9).

But Brighton have won three of their last four league matches against West Brom, including a 3-1 victory at Amex Stadium in the reverse fixture.

Chris Hughton has won three of his six PL meetings with West Brom as a manager; against no side has he won more in the competition (level with Sunderland and West Ham).

Pascal Gross scored Brighton’s first PL goal in the reverse fixture in September, the German scoring twice and assisted the other in a 3-1 win.

What the managers say

Alan Pardew: “What Chris [Hughton] has done at Brighton is nothing short of amazing. They’ve had a good season and it won’t be easy to break them down.”

Chris Hughton: "We’ve already seen clubs turn their difficult starts around and they’re now showing good form. We have to look at the quality they have in the squad and be wary of that."
