Harry Kane (£12.9m) has thrown the plans of Fantasy Premier League managers into turmoil after falling ill.

Tottenham Hotspur are without a fixture in Gameweek 21, but have two matches in Gameweek 22, which follows less than 48 hours later.

Mauricio Pochettino says Kane will be assessed after falling ill ahead of a Tuesday evening trip to Swansea City.

The striker is due to face West Ham United at Wembley Stadium two days later in the Double Gameweek.

Triple Captain doubts

After back-to-back hat-tricks, many of Kane’s 40.2% owners will have considered keeping him in their squads through Gameweek 21.

Many of them would then look to use their Triple Captain chip for his two Gameweek 22 encounters, in anticipation of another big score.

But with his starting role in at least one of those fixtures in doubt, those plans could be scrapped.

His Gameweek 21 absence means Kane is already the most-sold player, with over 198,000 opting to move him out.

Perhaps news of the illness may force many to shelve plans to bring him back for Gameweek 22.
