Leicester City will assess Ben Chilwell (illness). Fellow defenders Danny Simpson (thigh) and Robert Huth (ankle) remain sidelined.

Did you know?

There’s never been a draw in 14 previous top-flight meetings between these sides in Leicester, with Huddersfield Town winning eight to Leicester City’s six. However, this is the first such meeting since October 1971.

This will be Leicester’s first home league match played on New Year’s Day since 2013, when they beat Huddersfield Town 6-1 in the Championship.
