Luke Woolfenden scored a late goal for Ipswich Town to seal a 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Portman Road and maintain their 100% record in Group E.

Woolfenden found the net with a driven strike from eight yards after Villa failed to clear a Ben Morris cross.

Ipswich had gone ahead in the fifth minute when Conor McKendry scored from close range.

Town's Danny Rowe then hit the bar, but Villa levelled before the break through Harvey Knibbs, before Woolfenden won the match late on.

With two matches played, Ipswich top the group with six points, with Villa and Sheffield United on three apiece and West Bromwich Albion on no points.
