Matty James wants to repay the faith shown by Leicester City after he was rewarded for overcoming tough times with a new contract.
James was a key member of the Leicester side who escaped relegation in 2014/15, but missed their famous title-winning season with a serious injury.
After rebuilding his fitness on loan last season he made a first Leicester start in 865 days at Arsenal in Matchweek 1, a show of patience he is keen to give back for.
“With the injury spell that I had the support I received was magnificent," he told lcfc.com. “The first game that we played against Arsenal, albeit it was away, it just felt like it was two minutes since I had a blue shirt on.
“When you look back at where I was and how difficult it has been, I’ve overcome all of those obstacles. It’s an amazing thing for me to be signing that deal."
