Arsenal expect to be without last season's top scorer Alexis Sanchez for the first two matches of the season.
Arsenal kick off the new Premier League campaign at home to Leicester City tonight (KO 7.45pm BST). But Sanchez is set to miss the opener, and potentially the trip to Stoke City next weekend.
“He had a scan two days ago and he’s out for a while," manager Arsene Wenger told arsenal.com. "We don’t know if it is two weeks or one more week but he will not be available.
"We think he will not play at Stoke. Alexis Sanchez is a loss but we have all the other players prepared in pre-season and they are all ready."
