Manchester City have announced the signing of Danilo from Real Madrid.
The defender has agreed a five-year deal and joins for an undisclosed fee, subject to being granted a work permit.
Danilo becomes Man City’s fifth summer signing following the arrivals of goalkeeper Ederson, defender Kyle Walker and midfielders Bernardo Silva and Douglas Luiz.
"It’s a big day and a pleasure to be part of this team, I hope to meet the expectations," Danilo told Mancity.com
"The Premier League is hard to describe, it is a competition I always liked, I always wanted. So I’m very excited to start on 12 August.”
The 26-year-old, who can play on the left or right side of defence, will hope to make his Premier League debut when Man City travel to promoted Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening weekend.
Danilo has joined up with his new team-mates on the club’s pre-season tour of America and may feature against Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
