Arsenal have announced the signing of forward Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.

Lacazette has agreed a long-term deal at Emirates Stadium for an undisclosed fee.

Lacazette told arsenal.com: "Throughout my childhood, thanks to Thierry Henry and other French players, I always dreamed of playing for this club so today that dream has been fulfilled."

Lacazette scored 37 goals in 45 matches in all competitions last season.

The 26-year-old France international is Arsenal's second summer signing, following the arrival of defender Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.

His first Premier League appearance could be at home to Leicester City on Saturday 12 August.

Lacazette is expected to start Arsenal’s pre-season, which begins with a match against Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium on 13 July.
