Chido's star shines bright

Chido Obi-Martin made an unforgettable impression on his full debut for Manchester United U18s with a sensational 14-minute hat-trick against Nottingham Forest.

The 16-year-old, who arrived from Arsenal this summer, wasted no time, finding the net just 13 seconds into the match and adding a second goal within five minutes.

He completed his quickfire treble with a clever finish less than a quarter of an hour into the match, powering United to a booming 6-0 win.

Prior to his Carrington move, Obi-Martin was a standout in North London, training with Mikel Arteta’s first team and racking up an impressive 32 goals in 18 matches for Arsenal’s U18 side.

PL2 action

In Premier League 2, Manchester City stormed back to the top of the table with a 5-0 victory over West Brom. After a goalless first half, the hosts were stunned by a torrent of goals from Charlie Gray, Farid Alfa-Ruprecht, Jaden Heskey, Lakyle Samuel and Will Dickson to secure a dominant win for City.

Brighton also maintained their momentum, extending their five-game unbeaten run with success over Derby County. After falling behind to Alex Stepian-Iwumene's early goal, the Seagulls hit back before the break through Remeiro Moulton. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Yussif Owusu scored the decisive goal, sealing a hard-fought comeback.

Liverpool on the other hand were dazed in the mini-derby, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Everton. Despite enjoying possession for significant stretches of the match, the Reds were unable to convert their dominance, and Omari Benjamin punished them with a brace.
