Michael Carrick has said that he is “delighted” after extending his stay at Manchester United.
Carrick has signed a new deal with the Old Trafford club for a further year until 2018.
The 35-year-old, who joined United from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006 has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, a UEFA Champions League and most recently the UEFA Europa League.

The midfielder has made 314 of his 479 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils and is also looking forward to his testimonial match against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
