Matty Virtue (pictured above) struck deep into stoppage time to earn Liverpool a 3-2 win over Manchester City which ended the visitors' title hopes and crowned Everton Division 1 champions.
Man City went into the match knowing that only a victory would give them any hope of catching the Toffees at the top of the table and they made the perfect start through a 19th-minute Paolo Fernandes penalty.
But Ben Woodburn levelled seven minutes later and then put Liverpool ahead in the 72nd minute, before Isaac Buckley-Ricketts made it 2-2 to set up a grandstand finish.
In a dramatic finale, Buckley-Ricketts had an effort cleared off the line but Virtue broke Man City hearts by hitting the winner after a scramble in the penalty area.
