Nathan Jones

11 Feb 2023

Nathan Jones was first-team manager of Southampton from 10 November 2022 to Sunday 12 February 2023.

The 49-year-old Welshman joined from Luton Town having been named Championship Manager of the Year in the previous campaign, replacing Ralph Hasenhuttl at St Mary's Stadium.

Jones had two spells at Luton, guiding the club to a sixth-placed finish and the playoffs in 2021/22, falling just short of promotion to the Premier League.

He spent a large part of his playing career as a left-back and enjoyed long spells at Brighton & Hove Albion and Yeovil Town, for whom he made 159 and 185 appearances respectively.

Jones's spell as Southampton manager was a short one, as he was relieved of his duties after just 94 days, departing with a record of seven defeats in eight matches.
