Antonio Conte has stated his pleasure at being top at Christmas but says his focus is on the next match, at home to AFC Bournemouth on Boxing Day, when he will be without the suspended Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante.

“Me and these players in the past have had the habit of staying top of the table, but I prefer not to look at the table in this moment,” Conte said. “It’s not important. It’s important to look at the table at the end of the season.”

Chelsea have announced the sale of Oscar to Shanghai SIPG when the transfer window opens on 1 January.
