FPL Gameweek 28 Differentials

It is a rare Gameweek where the fixture list presents few complications for Fantasy Premier League Draft managers.

Now if only we could figure out how to navigate issues like Liverpool's poor form, Manchester City's rotation and Manchester United's unpredictability.

There are a lot of available Fulham players listed at the top of the "form" lists in the Draft game right now. Although they face Man City this weekend, the Cottagers are among only eight sides to play in Blank Gameweek 29 and could prove valuable short-term targets.

Here are my recommended players, by position, who are likely to be available in eight-team leagues.

GKP: Fraser Forster (SOU)

There is not much to love among the likely-available options. Many of Alphonse Areola, Lukasz Fabianski, David De Gea, Dean Henderson, Karl Darlow, Aaron Ramsdale or Fraser Forster are either in poor form or have a difficult match-up.

Of that group, I'd go with Forster given what is, at least, a somewhat favourable home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion

DEF: Matt Doherty (TOT)

Perhaps I'm overly pessimistic about the north London derby, but Doherty has had two starts in a row and it wouldn't be at all shocking to see him get a third and have a crack at both attacking and defending points against Arsenal.

Oddly, there aren't many other defenders that I'm too high on this weekend but Doherty, if starting regularly in a Tottenham Hotspur side who are scoring freely, could have real upside well beyond Gameweek 28.

MID: Jorginho (CHE)

Jorginho is a tough evaluation. He has scored three goals in his last five starts and has an attractive match-up against Leeds United where Chelsea, given their form, could feasibly score four or five goals.

The downside is that you have to be prepared for the holding midfielder to be rotated and give you nothing. If you don't like the uncertainty, Adama Traore makes sense against a struggling Liverpool defence.

FWD: Christian Benteke (CRY)

The Belgian is having something of a renaissance as his contract nears its end at Crystal Palace. His total of five goals this season isn't exactly eye-catching but it is, nonetheless, just one fewer than his last three campaigns combined.

Furthermore, his minutes-per-goal rate this term is approximately the same as it was in 2016/17, when he netted on 15 occasions. Throw in an attractive match-up against West Bromwich Albion and, for once, you have a forward worth a waiver-wire claim.
