The battle to be the most popular Gameweek 3 captain has come down to Kevin De Bruyne (£11.6m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.1m) in Fantasy Premier League, according to the experts on the latest FPL Show.

While Salah began the season with a hat-trick and 20 points for Liverpool against Leeds United, the experts believe that a home match against Leicester City puts Manchester City's De Bruyne in pole position for the armband.

"My plan for the season was to go with a premium option in a home game, so it is between De Bruyne and Salah for me," says Holly Shand in the latest episode of the FPL Show.

"I just feel like Leicester will be easier to break down than Arsenal, who have been much improved under [Mikel] Arteta.

"The fact that Wilfred Ndidi (£5.0m) is now out for a few games for Leicester means that I think that task will be easier for Man City and I am expecting them to get at least three goals."

Gianni Buttice believes Man City's new defensive set-up affords De Bruyne even more freedom to be an attacking threat.

"It will be KDB for me," says Buttice. "It was interesting to see two defensive midfielders behind him and it allowed De Bruyne to roam free in the creative 10 role and without David Silva there, everything is going through him."

Don't forget the GW3 deadline is 11:00 BST on Saturday 26 September.
