Reading claimed their first victory in six Premier League 2 Division 2 matches, winning 3-1 at Aston Villa.

Oli Pendlebury's low free-kick put Reading in front after 27 minutes.

Second-half goals by Ryan East and Danny Loader, pictured, put the Royals 3-0 up after 69 minutes.

Louie Barry pulled a goal back for Villa five minutes later, but they nonetheless fell to a fourth straight defeat.

Villa remain seventh with 22 points, two clear of ninth-placed Reading, who have played a match more.
